Which pads and discs?
Which pads and discs?
Hello
Will need pads and discs all round soon. I normally go for genuine parts, as these are more than adequate for what I use it for.
Any recommendations if I decide to go down the after market route? I dont want to spend loads more than the original parts would cost, but if there is a better set up for a few extra $, I would like to know.

Cheers.

RE: Which pads and discs?
if your not that bothered about upgrading them just go for a set of ebc redstuff pads or the ferodo ds2500 one's most of the s3 owners go for and standard disc's maybe some high temp fluid and some braided hoses for £60, this would be substancially better than standard for not too much extra
I went for ebc drilled and grooved disc's and red stuff pads when i had my s3. They were a little better than standard.

I'm considering the options at the moment, and for the money and typical use I am leaning towards EBC slotted discs and Ferodo pads, as all the original discs are needing changed. Just google "EBC brakes".
Another oem-ish upgrade I have considered would be front calipers from a Mk1 Leon Cupra R, with the above discs and pads.
The most expensive option I have ruled out is the Porsche front brake upgrade.
