2009 Rolex DEEPSEA Seadweller Submariner 18mth Wait List

Post by UUUdiRS2Newcastle » Thu Jul 30, 2009 10:31 am

I am selling my Rolex to pay for my engine rebuild. The watch is mint, box, papers invoice, books, links, warranty, 2 months old, worn twice.

There is a 18 month wait at the Jewellers for this watch, the list price is £5760 but watch dealers are selling them for £6500.
There is a price increase in Oct/Nov that will take the price up to £6300 in Rolex Authorised Retailers.

I need £5500.

Any Rolex inspection welcome at a Rolex Auth Retailers.
Thanks

That's odd, the watch appears to come with a sercive case - has it been back to Rolex for something?

When I was in goldmsmiths last year, the manager said he would call me when they got one in so I could see the size as they make the Submariner look tiny as the Deepsea is so big. I work for Mercedes, so its only 5 minutes away in the car. When I went down, the delivery had just arrived about an hour before I got there, so the watches were still in the transport cases. When the manager brought the watch out, I asked him what the plastic case was, and they said that when they come from Rolex new, they come seperate from the wooded boxs and come in these plastic cases for protection. I asked Mappin & Webb if I could keep the case as i know in 20 years time, if you keep everything, then the watch is more desirable and worth so much more to the collector/buyer!

(I bought the watch from Mappin & Webb obviously) The waiting list at Goldsmiths was 2 years, so I didnt want to wait that long, and got it from Mappin & Webb! lol

Not to take anything away from you but I'm sure there is no waiting list for these anymore. Beautiful watch tho, Good luck with the sale.

Well I know there is. I called a number of dealers and there is still a long list. If you call the Rolex Dealers, and ask them how long it will take, then it will prove to you that there is!

Could just be me then, I'v been offered one by two different dealers and I didn't evan have my name down for one. There was one in a shop window in westfields too.
People get put off by the size but I like it, as I said before beautiful watch.
