Am I missing something? (S4 2.7 vs 4.2 prices)

Post by Witchfinder » Sat Nov 29, 2003 11:13 am

I've been thinking about changing my Octavia vRS for something with a little more kick, and I've settled on the S4 as a good choice. However, looking at the prices, it seems like I'm in for a long wait!

Maybe I'm just being dense, but why do 3 year old V6 biturbo S4s seem to cost the same as brand new V8 S4s? Are these cars RS4s, os is there some big secret I'm not in on?

Hope you can answer my newbie question!

Cheers

You must be looking at RS4s.

In my experience, a good S4 2.7 bi-turbo goes for between £17k and £21k

A good RS4 2/7 bi-turbo goes for between £32k and £42k

A new S4 V8 4.2 goes for upward of £36k

Hence my conclusion that you are looking at RS4s
