Body trim

My lower door trims need replacing as two have already abandoned the car the other two are thinking about it.The local Audi dealer says they are specific to the RS2,they are not S2 parts, but all that I have read suggests otherwise. I've been quoted over 300.00 + vat for the 4 main trims with the clips (not theends as I don't need these. Has anyone cracked this problem more cheaply please?

My local garage have ordered one in for the offside passenger door and I'm just waiting for them to get it painted. Haven't been billed yet so I'll try and find out the cost for you.

Garage had real problems getting the part from Audi - sent the wrong bit twice, and that was after waiting for weeks having been told it was on back order. Have been driving around without the trim for weeks now - and we did order it some time before it final disappeared on a motorway run.

Have you tried VAG Parts for advice on cost and whether part is RS2 specific?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Garage doesn't tend to bill that quickly!

The part numbers for the piece of trim for the offside passenger door - the wide strip at the bottom of the door - + fittings were:
8A0853970AGRU - cover - £60.01 + VAT
89385311401C - cap - £0.89 + VAT
443853909A - clip x 5 - £0.70 + VAT each

+ cost of painting
