Exhaust

Can anyone recommend what would be the best way of cleaning the chrome oval pipes. They are very block on the lower edge. My Autoglym metal cleaner is not having any effect.

Brasso metal polish works for me. I'm not sure if that's the correct stuff to use or not. It takes a bit of elbow grease. I wipe the residue off with a soft cloth. I haven't noticed any adverse affects so far.

I challenge anyone to have as black exhaust tips as i do after a weeks driving! Meguiar's Next Generation metal polish (or something like that..) works wonders for me.

Autosol for me with elbow grease. Used to use Meg's NXT but didn't always have the cutting power of Autosol

I agree, Autosol is the best stuff for this, and is readily available.

I used a combination of NEVR Dull and then mothers metal polish. Made a huge difference and it's quite durable. All I have to do is wipe the tips down during a wash and they're nice again.

Autosol. It's not abrasive either. Use it on the polished swingarm of my bike too. Brilliant stuff. You can get it in Halfrauds.
