Another AW hero - welcome to RS246, S4MadMan
I read somewhere that 95% of Americans think a 'manual' is the book that sits in the glovebox

Respect to you for opting for a 'stick shift'

As I said, it comes down to quality and longevity (and probably somesort of comeback in the event of it fecking up your gearbox for RS4 owners).

Whoa the big Shifter debate...nice one welcome to our US friends and i remember those names from my S4 days.
I think its fair to say a RS4 box is different to an S4 box and i can only speak for these shifters in my car.
Standard aweful
Tanoga Superb
UCC stunning (my personal choice due to seeing it out of the box)
Stratmosphere very close to UCC but not as well made.
Toyguy unknown quantity to me , and i would like to see one and maybe try it.
These are my own findings and are my own thoughts, and im asked on a regular basis about shifters, its healthy that some one else is out there trying to make things better, long may it continur
Cheers

I'm pretty sure there are details posted somewhere for fitting the tanoga.
He was fitting them by the bucket-load at a RR day a while back, so don't think they are too involved to do

Hopefully someone will point you at the link (the last one I had went to rs4.org, so is useless now).

Cheers,
John.

Will, you know there are 2 types of shifters and they are different. I can't remember which one we need here but Karl would know it as he sold at least 2! I think it is the older style.

After a long wait, all parts have been delivered! I have only tried Tanoga previously and I think the ToyGuy is very well engineered and sweet to use. Worth the wait in the end.
