Hi Jase

Where are you?

Chip and panel filter, about £550 :D Always run her on Super Unleaded, makes a big difference.

What spec is it?

Hi Dave,

I am from Dover. I will be getting a Revo at some point but wanted to know if there was anything else i could do. I had been looking at a pipercoss induction kit with heat guard. http://www.thepipercrossshop.co.uk/indu ... l=6&kit=14

I have an A4 Advant also, the gear box is a bit sweeter in that and wonder if anyone does a short throw lever or such likes to sharpen up the S3 gear change?

Don't do the Kev kit dude ;) Panel filter is better -

I have a Jetex one. You could always try eBay?

I have APR, with three switchable modes via the cruise control. 210bhp, 257bhp and 270bhp.

When my selector shaft snapped earlier this year, I enquired about a short throw while it was apart, I was told they do not feel nice and standard is better.

Dave

PS Dont even think about an external waste gate

Dave,

Whats a Kev kit? Is he barry bolt on's mate? lol

I know panel filters are better but i do enjoy the sounds of the turbo with a Cone Filter. From my old Renault 5 Turbo days. he he he

Who are APR? Not come across them.

Now, about this external wastegate. Can't say i am planning on running a larger turbo with an external unless i was going for 400bhp engine. lol
But if you mean stay away from wastegate chatter or turbo stall sound, i was toying with the idea of taking off the std re-cerc dv. Just for a bit more ambiance sound. lol. I am 26 and still cant get over the sound.

What do you do for a living?

the best mods i did to my s3 was fit an itg panel filter (knew there was a reason why my single seater had one!lol) and fit a miltek cat back.

other than that it is a fab car leave it as is. Make sure haldex oil is changed bag on and let turbo, oil etc warm up and cool down before giving it beans!

they are great cars and i still miss mine

Dave,

Nothing wrong with being an accountant. My partner is an accountant. lol
Me, i am 26 and have a shoe shop. Still not able to drive my S3 until Sept when my partner is 25 and able to insure my A4, then i can start to enjoy my S3. I have missed having fast cars so it cool to be getting another one. I do have a Renault 5 GTT but have not finished it yet due to unforeseen circumstances. Fingers crossed it will not be long. lol
