s3 buying

hi i am looking for any pointers on the s3 ,i am looking to buy one ,so what are parts prices like,anything i need to look for when viewing apart from the usual stuff,is there any differance betwen the 210 bhp and the 225 bhp apart from the obvious,i think i am looking at a 1999-2004 model,is it worth getting it chipped and what about milltek exhaust,and any other bits worth doing

Hi

With the mark one S3, there are two shapes, pre face lift and face lift. The most obvious thing on the face lift is the one piece xenon lights, plus there are more subtle things on the outside like door handles and boot flute. The interior is also different, eg gear gator etc.

Chipping is a must and makes a fantastic difference. I went for APR, but there are others like Revo and the site sponsor MRC.
