S4 prices??

Post by gray1435 » Mon Feb 02, 2009 4:19 pm

Hi, being a complete newbie to the world of S and RS Audi's can anyone advise me on what I should be looking at pricewise for a 1999 Audi S4 Avant with 130000 on the clock and in generally great condition with a fully stamped book. Bearing in mind the uncertainty placed on secondhand cars by the "crunch" I've no real ballpark figure to go by. Thanks

depends on the full spec - interior especially can add value. pre or post facelift can have an effect too

Like other member above have said:

Full dealer history? Check the S4 B5 section for what major services should have been carried out for this milage
Pre or post facelift?
Full leather? Interior and toys?

£4000 should get you decent example

I couldn't find a Decent Nogaro Blue Avant with the Blue Alcantara trim for £4000 last May and I looked at quite a few, most were shabby unloved cars. :-(

there is loads of cheaps s4's lately, this time last year good one's with low mileage were impossible to find for less than £7000 i even seen one for £12995,there was only 12 b5 s4's for sale on the autotrader and piston heads, not so this year. i paid £7495 14 months ago 1 owner 99v plate, 59k fsh every bill from new, cambelt w/pump done +brakes and tires brand new, black leather ,bose system, imaculate condition. you can get a tuned car same condition for £5k this year with roughly the same mileage but becoming rare. i cant wait for the prices to start going back up. The bbc need to make a new ashes to ashes with a s4 in it cos have you seen what thats done to the old coupe quattro prices ????

Just sold one for close to my £5500 asking price. Good straight car with full history and 125,000 miles.
Only been advertised for just over a week.

Without trying to hijack gray1435's thread. What sort of price should I be looking at for an S4 (B6) V8 with about 40K on. On an 03/04 plate ?

Audi S4 are getting very cheap these days :) I picked my one for £4450 and so far I spend around £1490 on top of the price so it cost me total of £5940 and it has FSH and all the belts and waterpump changed.

Mileage: 78000 Miles
