As I`ve been off fot the last 3 weeks and my car is relatively new plus being an avant there is no valid reason I can give anymore for my wife to drive her car, I can safely say that I`ve spent at least £700 in the last 3 weeks on Tesco 99!!!!!!!!!

im driving to munich via amsterdam and frankfurt in Sept. . . .will be documenting it here !
its circa 2000 miles and i've budgeted 7 tanks but if you did 5 tanks to Le Mans, I may be wholly underestimating that !

well, I just checked and I have done 12000 miles in under 3 months (time for another service natch!), the car has been fabulous - 96k miles now and still counting. By my reckoning that is about £2700 on fuel. I could have halved that by using a volvo diesel but boy oh boy it would have been boring!

Going off-topic a bit so apologies for that, but I've got an interesting comparison coming-up soon when I drive to my old man's when I go on holiday. The last time I did it was in my old D2 S8, in which I wanted to see just how economical you could be with it. Well, driving from where I am in Herts. up to my Dad's in Gt. Yarmouth, I managed to get precisely (on the dot) 30.0 mpg driving very, very carefully all the way. I will be repeating this journey very soon in the RS6+, so will be very interesting to see what I can get out of the old girl. Watch this space...
