Agreed Alistair, more than happy since I got mine.

Good luck with the car sale, such a shame you have to lose her....have a Polar Silver one myself so can't recommend your car to others highly enough, from the spec and work done it looks a beauty...way beyond where mine is at present!

Thanks for the info' very helpful, I've decided on the Goodyears but need a bit more help please, I went into my local tyre centre and asked about the F1 Assymetrics and was told I needed directional tyres not assymetrics does this sound right and what's the difference between the two, I'm a complete novice with tyres

Cheers Paul

I'm starting to feel a little peeved at my (lazy I must admit) choice of tyres.
Never mind they don't last long down here.

Wha...? You've only had them on a month!

Shum mishtake shurely.

You didn't fit them to the Puffing Dragon, did you?

The difference is the directionals have a 'V' shaped tread pattern (with the point at the front as you look down on a forward facing wheel), the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetricos (as the name suggests) have asymmetrical tread - i.e. they have straight edged tread patterns on them.

If you look at the tread patterns on the tyres I posted the links to before in this thread you will be able to see this clearly (compare the Toyo T1Rs to the Goodtear Asymmetricos for example).

Whether you should not fit the asymmetricos to the RS2.....that's another question, have you asked this to another tyre centre? Did they say the same? Sometimes it's just someones opinion and not always fact.....let me know

Im currently being very impressed with a set of new Falkens ive had popped on my RS2... they perform just as well as the previous Pirellis all round in the dry/wet with the added bonus of being a little quieter when cruising.
RS2 s yep ive had a few... it started with a Brilliant Black lhd then a Polar Silver and finally an RS Blau.

Finally changed from 245's to 225's today I can't comment on their performance yet but they look smarter and less balloon-like on the rim, I went for some falken 452's after hearing positive comments on here, just waiting for a new ss exhaust to be fitted (hopefully this week) and then I'll be ready to test them properly :D
