after my good friend bought his rs6 and had some running issues with it, i suggested a lads day out to doug at mrc, so yesterday morning at 6.30 i got up for the second time that morning (babies eh!) and met my friend and set off, after a fuel stop and some of mr donalds finest food we arrived at mrc, god how many avus rs4's was my first thought.
so the rs6 went first, after replacing the mafs and the steel dump valves they went for a little drive, it's already map'd (bargin) but it's throwing up problems the best option is back to standard (bugger) another drive and my mate comes back "got rid of the problems but god it's slow, doug can you map it?" 1/2 an hour later back comes a very happy mate. power back and problems gone, all good. thanks doug.....to be continued......
so i drove to banbury yesterday!

done the jap thing, trying the euro thing!
so now it was my turn, i've allway's been a bit of a worrier about my cars and thought it wasn't running right, well doug plug'd in and only found it was running rich a bit so did a preasure test, no leaks
. upon further inspection he found that the maf was origional.......yes 9 years old
so that was replaced and off we went to check it, allgood was the result. "so doug my mates 6 is now fast again so can we sort this out?" 1 map an itg filter and cut the bottom of the airbox (sorry doug i watched it get done earlyier in the day and thought i'd do mine) the result
i'm in love with the car allover again. so much thanks to doug and the boys for making us feel welcome and sorting the "nails" out.
