Saying Hello

Post by frog » Fri Jul 17, 2009 2:48 pm

Finally got round to posting after a year of browsing this forum & 3months into ownership of 03 avus avant which I purchased from a top bloke in North Yorkshire .
Had many days swithering - my god what have I done ,can I afford to run it etc before I finally collected car ,but I had a 400mile drive home and I didnt stop grinning all the way people must have thought I was a nutter !! , even the fuel consumption didn`t upset me ,actually better than my Subaru forrester 2. 5 ?!
Now using RS as daily transport although I swore I wouldn`t -very addictive !!! :D
The inevitable couple of questions though , they have probably been asked before so appologies .

Servicing - Anyone have experience of Highland Audi Inverness or anyone else who might be suitable in the area ? Car has previously been serviced & fitted with H&R`s by Grizz & I fully intend to visit him at some point but it`s a long way down !!

Strange noise - slight humming ( metallic rubbing ) between 2000 - 3000 rpm under slight aceleration , seems to becoming from the front passenger side . Also appears to happen intermitently when turning right ,again from the same area - Wheel bearing ?

Not a tech head at all , so thanks for any pointers

Cheers
