Audi Concert upgrade

Post by MICALEE » Wed Jul 08, 2009 9:42 pm

I have the Audi Concert radio with Bose and am pondering an upgrade. Reason being, I have to turn it up at least 3/4 to get a decent level and hense the quality goes down the more it is turned up.

Is my stereo fully amplified? Can anyone tell me the wattage it produces?

I am looking at getting an Alpine CDA-9887R. I will need a replacement Fascia and Wiring harness and was also told I need an aerial adapter.

I am very cautious at buying stuff which I think is right. Can anyone link me to the correct fitting accessories I need please.

All Bose setups in A4/S4/RS4 are fully amplified, using the same amp whatever the head unit and whether it's A4, S4 or RS4.

Not sure about the power output, but mine is so loud with the volume turned up that it hurts.

To crib text i recently wrote for another post....

This sounds like an ideal job for Chorley Car Audio. Chris who owns CCA has become a good friend of mine. He has done incredible volumes of work for the VW R32 owners club, and sponsors www.r32oc.com

His work is of such a high standard I flew Chris out to Dubai to work on my B7 RS4, as I did not trust any of the establishments here to undertake workmanship to a high standard.

Give Chris a call on 01257 220035 or check out www.chorleycaraudio.co.uk

I'm going to be pulling Chris over again in the near future to add to the RS4's ICE.

Cross my heart no! But perhaps he will treat me to a beer or two when we go skiing together next Feb.

I didn't know Chris ''from Adam'' before I flew him over to stay with us in Dubai, all I knew was the almost legendary status he holds with the R32 boyos. He and i had a few internet chats before he came over and that was it.

Considering I've only been in his company for that fortnight, I now consider him a true friend, and mastercraftsman.

The way he pre-loomed everything on my dining table, wrapped all the wiring in fabric tape (to match OEM) with perfected overlap gaps, thats what impressed me. I love this level on care, even things you don't see everyday should be perfect.
