workshop manual?

Post by missmouse » Wed Jul 01, 2009 10:53 pm

does a workshop manual exist for these cars? I never could locate one for the S2. I was told it was on cd & only available to audi dealers. I thought this practice was now illegal?

Id be amused to see how mechanics rebuilding an engine with oily hands are supossed to use a computer screen to get info on what is what!

I bought ELSA off Ebay for a few quid and it's got loads of info on all the Audi range - came in very handy when doing oil leak fix from plug on back of head but that's just scratching the surface

found one on audiworld forum. Its very detailed but is obviously from a factory manual as a lot of the procedures refer to "this special tool or that special tool"!

Yes - I know what you mean -but you'll find that most of the 'special tools' are fairly standard tools that you will either have or can buy generic versions from the likes of laser or even Halfrauds. Eg brake caliper rewind tool, oil filter removal tool etc so don't be too put off by those.
