Wing mirrors gone!

Driven back down south now and it's going to my mates in the morning to have a look at it. I will get the originals replaced as the insurance is covering it. It's so much of an inconvenience cos some stupid selfish theiving f$%k decided to snap them off and rob them!!! Scum, I do believe in "What goes around, come around" so hopefully they will get them nicked of their chav mobile.

I have 2 immaculate avus painted mirrors if you didn,t want to go through insurance,but if you do it would be great to get the folding ones.
Atleast you would be getting something out of a sh!t situation

Like the stubby look? I'm sooo tempted to not get them replaced but I know it's illegal. I like the lines of the car with no mirrors!

And cos they've been ripped off they're f*cked. They're only of use to another RS4 B5 owner who can swap his existing ally covers over for yours.

Can't see how they would make use of those.....but thats not the point.

The anoraks amongst us (cough cough) will easily be able to tell the originals from the paintsd "rep's"!

Made me wanna shoot the scrotes in the balls when this happened to mine. According to old bill, mine was one of half a doizen cars that got targetted the same night in the local area; not all prestige motors, someone with a boggo Corsa lost theirs too.

Dunno whether they're nicked to order or it's just a 'game' to the little scrotes.

I'm really sorry to hear about the mirrors mate, i've been away for the past few days down in telford, otherwise you could have called in for a cuppa...there again you probably wouldnt have been in a sociable mood. It really pisses me when this happens and you know that there of no use to anyone else unless there for the same car. You never know but the idiots that ripped them off might be stupid enough to think they'll be worth selling on a certain auction site??? I'm sure that if they did, then someone on here will spot them.....it's a small world and news travels!
Well i now it's not really much of a consolation but the weathers looking pretty good for friday mate!

Sorry to hear this Contigo, my mate had his smashed off a while ago and I lived in fear of it happening to me on my first RS4.
IMHO my 2nd one having black optics and painted mirror covers is a bonus. I can't imagine them being too bothered if they damaged the paintwork so that's one thing to be grateful of.

Re folding mirrors, ETKA lists them as available for RS4 but there aren't on any options list I have ever seen

Well standard one are going back on (alloy) and they will look the part. Also getting the bodywork tidied up whilst it's in there to make it all worth while.

What a day today on the track at Thruxton in the VXR's, being tutored by Andrew Jordan and James Pickford doesn't come much better!!!!
