Fabulous road trip- what a car

Post by byrnie » Fri Jun 26, 2009 9:12 am

Been driving TVRs and never thought I would replace the fun of driving them. Had an S3, then a TT but now have an RS4 with Milltech exhaust. Have just driven from Corsica thru the Alps, Germany and Belgium. Car was fantastic, the noise incredible and all the fun is back in driving. fabulous car and reliable!!

That is quite a road trip, sounds great.

I've had my RS4 since April, still wake up and think "I'll be pushing the start button soon" :D

I don't have a Milltech but drive in sport all the time pretty much, the sound is awesome 8)
What i really like is the fact that they are muscular but discreet with it somehow, then on top of this they are among the quickest cars on the road, including some of the elite super cars that cost many times more and are impractical
Great in the dry but special in the wet, when most others will not keep with them :D

A truly great, all round car, worth every penny they cost 8)

Glad it's put the fun back buddy, that's what driving is all about.

Now that's what I call a road trip! add a decat and you will have the best bit of the TVR combined with all the added benefits of the RS.

Driving the Col de Montets in the RS4 at dusk on an empty road with the snow piled up either side was as close to motoring nirvana as I've ever been...

I've yet to do Stelvio....

Milltek non resonant exhaust £840.

Round trip was 2600 miles. Petrol bill astronomical, but who cares.

Grey cabriolet, have seen a blue saloon in Frodsham as well.
