TIMING BELT
TIMING BELT
ALRIGHT JUST SUFFERED WAT SEEMS LIKE A TIMIG BELT FAILURE TONIGHT (18-11-03) ON MY S3. JUST WONDERING HAS ANYONE ELSE SUFFERED THIS OR ANYTHING ELSE CONNECTED TO THE TIMING BELT, AS AM NOT A HAPPY CHAP. THE CAR HAS DONE 74000MILES.

Not heard of anything, in the 2 yrs or so i been around the Forums. infact im not even sure if it is a timing belt or a timing chain?
but, if you car is all fully serviced up as per the shedule without fault, before its due, then i would be talking to Audi!

So sorry to hear of your misfortune mate! Ive never had any bother but i change mine every 10 thou mile for the price it cost and piece of mind.
I think i would contact audi to check the service as said.

Best of luck mate. IIRC it's not due till 110k miles or something like that. If you do have to pay then take it elsewhere, don't give them your business.
