Dashpod faiulure - dealer trying to pull the wool?

Can anyone out there with a C6 RS6 Avant tell me if the instrument surround (ie light switch knob to glovebox switch) is in carbon fibre or just platic??

My daskpod had a 'thermal incident' and after 3 weeks the part has arrived and I have my car back. Something doesn't look quite right and I think it is that the instrument surround is now in a shiny plastic rather than carbon fibre. Thing is I can't swear to this and want to be sure of my facts before I go off on one with the dealer!!

Please can someone put me out of my misery one way or another!!

The instrument surround is piano black, i.e. shiny.
