MRC magic – again!!

Paid a visit to MRC yesterday....

Have never been happy about the responsiveness of the car, even with gutting the pre cats!! Therefore Doug set about improving my thoughts!!

– Changed the temperature switch (for the fan)
– Increased throttle response via custom map
– SuperSprint exhaust (my choice)

Result – One happy customer who now loves to drive his RS4!!!

Doug said the results of the SuperSprint were surprisingly good!
The peak boost increase from 1.2bar to 1.4 or was it 1.6 (not sure – Doug??)

Anyway, all of the above has made a HUGE difference

Rob, glad to hear your happier with th RS, out of curiousity, how did gutting the precats effect 'sound'? especially with the Supersprint?

I have the Supersprint system on mine too, one of the best thing I did i reckon!

RNS-E, yep was installed but have to go back to get a few problems sorted – we ran out of time.

The precats increase the volume level of the idle which inturn makes the SuperSprint quite loud IMHO, although Doug said the exhaust was quiet – lol!!!

I do have a problem with a 'locust' buzzing like sound when on full boost therefore that might be effecting the sound of the exhaust. We think there could be a problem with the downpipe
