WANTED: RS2

Post by hysteric » Sat May 23, 2009 2:46 pm

Hi. I am looking to buy my first performance audi, an RS2. I would look forward in hearing from anybody thinking of selling their RS2. I am a fledgling enthusiast and would want to purchase a car like this from a fellow enthusiast.

I am not particularly fussy about colour although it must be RHD and have a good history. I am loing for a garage queen, but just a solid, weel looked after example. I am based in London.

Thanks for reading.

stevie, thanks for the input. laser is correct, the black number is sold.

I hope another one like that comes along!

the well known saying - a car is only worth what somebody is willing to pay - is very relevant, but was anybody suspicious when the black number was advertised for £10k - and sold for £9k ?

does that generally mean there is a lot of work to be done on the car in the very near future?

Maybe just a buyers market - also 9k in cash may have been a big incentive.

The black one was the guy from Newcastle?? The one with 136k on the clock??

That started on Pistonheads at £15k in February when I bought mine and eventually ended up down at £9k!!!

The dude selling it claimed he had 3 RS2s which I found hard to believe (apologies to him if that was true)

Yes this guy got that RS2 in November 2008 for £6000 the car was advertised on this site last year, My guess is he robbed some parts for his other RS2 and tried to chance his luck making a profit. Still he made a few grand off it.

Would have bought it myself if I had not known what he had payed for it.
