Not so Kool Aircon??

Post by eyeball » Sun May 24, 2009 6:00 pm

Well today was a lovely day for a blast in my toy and even the heat was getting to me...the only problem was the heat was coming from my aircon.lol.
Joking apart, the aircon was tried for the first time and when set on low it was nothing to talk about. Slightly cooler than the outside air temp but nowhere near as cold as my other Audi b5. So I'm thinking it'll just be a top up on the gas but I've never addressed this issue before so the question is...Am I letting myself in for trouble with aircon or a Audi's pretty simple regarding getting refilled ie rusted/ perrished/ new this, new that and where's best togo for this and what sort of costs?
Cheers,
P :?

I'd say the best thing to do is get it into somewhere that can test the system.
Generally if there is a leak in the system you will see spatter when using a UV light.
Quite likely it is just needing a re-gas and oil / UV change.
Just can't get the smile off my face......

Mine was the same and a £30 re-gas fixed it.

Arent these cars addictive, I just love driving it....I owned the cat about 6 weeks now and i'm using any excuse to have to go out in it. Had a bit of fun with a very nice 3ltr t diesel A6 today on the m60, sunroof all the way back and all the windows down, it was almost like a summers day. Thats how it should be! lets hope tomorrow is just as good??
