Clutch Judder

Drove my car off the drive and just pulling away this morning and got clutch judder big time. Never had it before. 21,000mls 56 plate saloon. Is this a sign my clutch is on it's way? Covered under warranty or not?

Not heard of judder before ...just did this once ? ..

Possible check engine mounts ..

This was some time ago now; it was the beginning of the end for the clutch unfortunately. By the time I got round to changing it, it was on it's last legs. I went for the Sachs performance clutch as a replacement as it'sa more robust clutch.

Hmm mines been juddering also,time to take it in,hope its covered under extended warranty

Doubt it - surely its wear and tear?

It will be interesting to see,if it isnt then anyone who has parted with £1200 for the warranty has been robbed blind,i dont see it as wear and tear at 30k miles thats only just turned 3 yrs old.another similar thread on here shows one being done under extended so will see what my individual dealers stance on it is.some have failed in the early 20s so there clearly something wrong with design/perfomance of the clutch,my b5 did twice that running more power and still looked good when i had it done as a precaution rather than rectification

Depends if the clutch has signs of wear and tear then it wont be covered, if however some thing else is to blame, such as the clutch pipe leaking and loosing pressure, then yes it will be exchanged. it happened to me, and I got both the flywheel and clutch exchange FOC

I'm so dissapointed with my RS4, car only has 38,000km, my driving style hasn't changed in 20yrs and this is the first time i've come across a car that has to change clutch at 38,000km, truely unbelievable. I've owned E36 325i, E36 M3, B5 S4, 1973 911, 993C4, and currently driving 997C2S as well (45,000km) and I never had to change clutch any less than 75,000km. And to make matters worse, my car has suffered several EPC light on symtoms, carbon build up and I'm just waiting for the dreaded DRC failure to come on any time.....

Feel for you. Maybe you got a Friday afternoon car - if you know what I mean.
