Bye, bye RS4 :-(

Post by Nige_RS4 » Sat May 09, 2009 11:19 am

It's a sad day for me, but a great day for the new owner ... who will no doubt introduce himself once he stops driving it!

The last 3 years of RS4 ownership have been an absolute pleasure for me - no real problems to talk about other than a sticking thermostat, siezed rear calipers (due to new pads) and an EGT probe.

Had some great days out both with members off this forum and other car nuts.

Looking forward to being back in an Audi real soon.

Looks well Nige and yes sad but I'm sure you will be back in an S/RS soon enough. Well done on the sale and hope you got what you were after.

Need to start saving for my next car ... new S4 (once depreciation has taken its toll).

I've bought a golf gti to tide me over which will allow me to sell our other car to release more funds. (I didn't like leaving the RS in the middle of Bristol).

It's almost there - nr. Penrith, LOL!

That was me driving it away.Been looking at S4's,then RS4's for the last 4 years.Made my mind up about 3 months ago after driving a work-mates RS4.Been lurking on this forum for a while and signed up recently(need to change user name admin).
Saw Nige's RS for sale.Everything about it just sounded RIGHT.Went down to see him last time I was home and was really impressed with the motor and his attitude towards it-sensible mods, well cared for but used as it was meant to be used!
It's everything I expected and more. The torque in any gear is pheomenal and it is a joy to drive.
Don't worry Nige,it has already been washed and will be looked after as you have done.
Great car,great guy.
Life is good.
