Does anybody know any insurance companies which cover vehicles that have an increase in BHP of over 26%? My present insurance company covers up to this limit, with a correspondingly large increas in premiums. However, as soon as you go voer 26%, it is "no quote" time.
I ask as I am thinking of getting hold of an older S3/S4, and then spending some dosh and getting it seriously tuned. The one cost I'm unsure about is the insurance. I know quotes always depend on your personal circumstances, but a list of those companies/brokers, who at least consider 26%+ bhp would help me a lot.
Thanks for any help guys.

I'm sure Jon will have an option for you. I use Privelege and have no problem with 50% increase in power on an RS4 - they even include the NOZ and the premium is only loaded by 30%

30% loadup for 550hp (or whatever it is) before you're running NOS is impressive I'd say! God only knows what NOS'd do to the power figures! I think that's a pretty reasonable loadup! But I suppose it depends what your starting figure is - for me it'd be well up around £5,000 if not more!

IIRC Jon doesn't cover performance mods.
after exhausting all options suggested above, maybe try Barclaycard Motor Insurance, who I'm with.

M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

yeah ironically we do not have good enough facilities to place modified car policies, I would go with andy and recommend Priv. as they will insure anyone if you've got the dosh!
