i'm sorry to ask this question because i know it's probably answered in detail already but are the BHP figures(for the RR day) all crank estimated figures or at the wheel figures??
what kind of torque figures did you get ?

i have to say after only having my daytona grey rs4 saloon for 2 months i am concerned about all this! i,ve had an evo7 (366 bhp) and a new s3 (mapped to 310 bhp) over the past 4 years. i bought my rs with 414bhp in my head and thats what i want! not 380,390 but i definately wanted to be past the 400 mark and to know what its like to drive something with that sort of power any time i wanted. i know all you guys love your cars and don't get me wrong i do too, but i hate looking at them older m3's and seeing them beat rs4's. chipped or not an rs4 should destroy that m3 or so i hoped. cant help thinking i should of been braver and got an m5 any thoughts to ease my anxiety? sorry to be a grinch!!

Nice set of pics.

Interesting to see a B7 RS4, with normal mirrors, in one of those pics.

1st, no one knows what these cars make at the crank, except Audi

2nd, a stock e46 M3 will not outpower an RS4 in the straightline...in the corners, a differet story maybe

3rd if the TN is the overall drive ratio, these numbers are low by at least 10%, most likely more...

that's why I'ld like to see all graphs, raw toque number, correction factors, etc.

when I adjusted the numbers for the correct gering the numbers came out at, yu guessed it, 414 (actually 416)...

even the mfg of the dyno states, if it's not wheel torque/HP, it's BS

I have a gsxr1000 and theres no way a b7 would stay anywhere near it in a straight line,i can out accelerate cars like these wheelying, its believable to chase well ridden 600s with a b7 or older bigger stuff not that i would though!!

just to give you an idea how dynos can be manipulated...
as you know numbers are adjusted for temperature, if it's hotter than the std temp, the HP is adjusted upward

Image

ambient temp AT = 11C ~ 52F
intake temp IT = 87C ~ 188F

do you think the inlet temp is that warm?
so how much is the HP value adjusted upward?
it appears the graph show both corrected (upper) and uncorrected (lower) numbers for the 3 runs...
S_HP and HP

looks like the blue run was 2nd gear...~70 mph
320 uncorrected, 412 corrected

these can be made to read anything...change cf's, temps, gears, etc.
