now i get it!

Post by sfrs4 » Mon Apr 13, 2009 10:33 am

well i've enjoyed owning my rs but i never truly understood how good it was, till last night, i went out with a few like mind'd friends one of which has a 355 spider, and well all i can say is omg this car completly standard was all over the back of a ferrari 355 (another dream car shattered) still getting an awfull lot of understear out the corners, but have found with slow progresive accelration thru the corner instead of late brake and then power it pull's thru quite nicely. now bring on the mod's :-)

actual something rang true in what you said jimbo even standard when you give it beans the bloody traction controll esp rubbish is so restrictive. but it's hard remembering to turn it off when the chance arrives.

And hope you don't hit some diesel or ice under hard acceleration.

Whilst I agree ESP is a PITA on the track and on dry roads, it's literally a life saver in extreme conditions e.g icy and slippy conditions.

after having a 340whp r33 gtr i've got the controll thing pretty much down, i know there are differences between the all wheel drive and altessa system but sliding cars don't worry me to much........ this said, i'll still be carefull. plus my wife won't let me turn it off when she's in the car, so only 50% of the time.
