Unit 20

Post by lushman » Fri Apr 03, 2009 8:03 am

Hi, travelled across to see Grizz at Unit 20 and get a few mods to the car (Brakes, Exhaust and ARB's with a few extras)
What a guy. He knows his stuff and was a great day across the water.
Would highly recommend the trip!

Thanks Grizz for all your effort and time.

Obviously a well trained guy. Is he ex-Audi or did he pick up his Audi RS experience elsewhere ?

He would be the one to ask, but I do know he has real passion for the RS and knows them inside out.

Totally agree with you Paul, my RS4 B5 is with Grizz at the moment getting some TLC. Be good to have her back at the end of this week for the long weekend.

Sure am, got the word from Grizzupport that they've turned up, bolted on to the block, and awaiting their return to the engine bay. Looking forward to opening her up on the M6 toll road back to Windsor.

Just got back from picking up the RS4 from Unit 20. What a difference new turbo's, clutch, N75, lamda, DV's and fr disc+pads makes. Thanks Grizz for doing a splendid job of putting her back together.

Glad its back on the road! I was admiring how tight your leather inside the car looked. By the looks of it no one has sat in your car it looks brand new.
Thats the next thing on my list and spend a couple of days to give the leather in mine a new lease of life!
You should have got an exhaust on her as well and then everyone else could have heard you enjoying yourself on tthe M6 lol

Thanks for the compliment on the leather. I looked at loads of them before eyeing up this one. Once a month I get the leather treated by the guru's at Wharfside Car Valet in Canary Wharf.

Still contemplating the cat back non res exhaust upgrade along with the RS6 calipers. Grizz has a good knack of "dangling the carrott" in front of you when it comes to upgrades.

Decision point: Stay completely stock/oem or upgrade the necessary (coilovers/brakes).

Suggestions?

I was having a similar decision a short while back... deciding to be boring and stay completely stock.

Go upgrade brakes, exhaust and ARB's. After a few months then go coilovers!

I am going to need a thermostat soon as its sitting just below 90 most of the time. I discussed this with Grizz last week so when I get a few shillings together I will get him do the belt change etc and decide what to put on the car next!

So addictive
