Ejecting DVD Nav Disc?

Post by max_b » Mon Apr 06, 2009 8:07 pm

Reading the instructions suggests flip front screen forwards and press eject....however nothing happens.

I've got the RNS-E ( I think) with the 2 MM card readers behind the screen and I-pod dock in the glovebox....what am I doing wrong?

I would like to play some of my CD's (understanding I cant have Nav at the same time)

Cheers
Max

Usually they are locked by the factory, you need VAG COM to unlock them.

Check Adaptation channel 67 and set it to 0 from 255 (I think)

My understanding is that it's locked by the factory (to prevent Nav disks being stolen in transit) but that part of the PDI should then be to unlock it. If you don't have VAG COM, I'd expect a dealer to unlock free of charge...

thanks for the replies guys

guess my local dealer wont be interested unless I offer a few ££'s, as they werent the ones that did the PDI (too far away to get to the original dealer)

Anybody with Vag Com in the W Midlands that can help out :beerchug:

Or is there any sort adapter system I can use to convert from the I-pod adapter to a generic MP3 player, or even into the 6 play multiplayer

It's easy enough to tap into the TV tuner. I have this in mine with a jack socket on the centre console. I use a Kensington Liquid Aux for the iPhone.
