Free MOTs from Audi!!!!!!

Post by stapo69 » Thu Jan 29, 2009 8:40 pm

Just found this on Audi-sport:

http://www.audi.co.uk/audi/uk/en2/owner ... e-mot.html

Audi are offering free MOTs for cars over 3 years old! Something free from Audi!!!!! I thought this would be of use to some of you on here, there's probably a catch knowing Audi, like you have to have the work done with them, but worth registering if you're due!

They will fail most cars so they can charge for a re-test.

and it has to be in conjunction with a service....... or so I've just been told and they will allow 15% off parts & labour.
My bill from yesterday for her B5 quattro T Sport 70k service
air filter =£10.45
oil filter £5.78
plugs £8.59 each
they do spank you for the oil £8.00 for each 500 mls
total was still £380 incl brake fluid ...oh and a lot of advisory notes several of which would lead to MOT issues they said........... so yes it would have been failed presumably

Just had my S4's first MOT at wearside Audi, it was free with no catch. They did mention a couple of issues ie wiper blades and the fact that the brake discs have avery slight scoring on them but apart from that a good service - and they hoovered the car (didn't need a wash as I'd just done it)

Just one more thing - Its second AVS is due and they have given me a price less than the local indie that I was planning to use, so all in all i'm quite happy.

Just had an MOT at Huntingdon Audi. Cost me half an hour labour to fix the broken horn (which I knew about and alerted them to) and everything else was fine.

So, for me at least, the free MOT offer did what it said on the tin. Plus they washed and vacuumed the car, and gave me a nearly brand new A6 tdi to tool around in all day.

Blow me down with a feather, etc.

Passed mine at Hitchin Audi in March FOC, wanted me to get new number plates and rubbish things like that but i just politely declined and collected that evening.

The crazy thing is they drove mine a mile away to near where i work to get it tested, its not even in-house.

They even washed it, it was immaculate when i collected.
