RS6 Suspension - Rear Right looks like it's collapsed

Hi,

I hit a big pot hole at the weekend and it appears that the rear right hand wheel is a lot lower than the left side (checked the gap to arch) and the cars not handling too well. I've got it booked in at a non-Audi dealer after hearing it could break the bank completely using an Audi dealer. It's a 2003 car.

Am i likely to need to replace suspension bits ? The whole lot ?

What are the cost implications here ?

I have read Bilsteins are the way to go, not too fussed about lowering the car, just something reliable, how much would they be to fit as well ?

Probably an impossible one to answer here as it could be anything. Is there anyone near Effingham / Leatherhead that i could take the car too for a top job ?

KW V3 or Bilstien PSS9 both work great and are reliable, i fitted KW for a customer 3 weeks ago his bill was £1500 +VAT fitted,PSS 9`s are dearer

Hi Paul,
I am in same situation, rear shocks gone

Audi garage said 500 to 600 each and then actuator valves (?) would probably need changing at 600 each then labour - so I didnt bother with them.

Then took to a local VW Audi specialist who QUOTED ME 1k TO DO BOTH SHOCKS and front struts ; did other work but didnt have tool to remove shocks so didnt do them - IDIOTS!

At moment options are to change to Bilsteins all round at 2K - Grizz here thinks their rubbish (I think?) or to keep looking round. Have got a couple of localish companies will be trying next week.

This has been going on for over a month now so good luck to you and let me know if you get any good advice or results.

The pss9's are a very good unit , They tend to be hard to get hold of.

I have PSS9s in stock. We like them, they are a good road kit and work well for the occasional track day. They have a good range of adjustment but not too many!

The damping is much better than the basic entry level PSS and H&R kit.
