Mine is lower than stock, will this have a bearing on anything?

The lower you go the more negative camber you will produce. This can be corrected on the rear but not on the front, which is why people go for adjustable control arms on the front.

Had this on my two front tyres - massive wearning on the inside inch of each tyre. Rest of the tread was fine.

Had one place do the tracking (only 2 wheel alignment gear), but after a second set of new tyres started showing the same signs, I took it to a 'really good' tyre tracking place with all the 4 wheel aligment gear. Went and stood with them under the car while they set it all up, explained the problem etc.

Turns out the Toe was wrong, reading:
NSF -0°09'
OSF -0°08'
NSR 0°06'
OSR 0°06'

Corrected to:
NSF 0°12'
OSF 0°12'
NSR 0°11'
OSR 0°13'

Fitted a set of part worns to test (obviously ensuring part-worns were evenly worn thus far, and I wasn't preparred to see another set of new tyres eaten-up).

4 mths down the line, the part worns are coming to the end of thier lives and have worn evenly all over, so I consider the problem resolved.

I know you say you've had this done - do you know what your Toe was before and after adjustment?

Just had one rear replaced that was worn and one of the fronts was gone, so put two new Conti's on the front and moved the one good tyre to the rear of the car.

I also paid for the tracking to be done too at the same time and they printed off the results. There was some misalignement in both front and rear axles so adjustments were made.

I have the stats in front of me and I'm trying to compare them to the wheel alignment chart on this thread.

The databank values they worked to are

FRONT AXLE

Total toe +2.7mm
Half toe +1.3mm
Max Dif camber -01.26°
Max Dif +00.00°

REAR AXLE

Total toe +2.6mm
Half toe +1.3mm
Max Dif camber -01.33°
Max Dif +00.00°

Please can someone confirm that these value match the sheet and that I've not got the value from a 1981 VW Rabbit/Jetta?

BTW, the car feels better than it's ever been now :D
