Really hoping this car will have a turbocharged engine. Any news on when we can expect to see it in the flesh, this year, next year ?, regards, SIMON.

Its supposed to be shown late this year and out to buy early next year. Rumours on engine are that it will be a twin turbo v8. If you have a look on www.rs6.com there are some interesting posts on the engine and car under a specific rs5 section.

No problem. I have been keeping an eye on it for a while as I have my name down on one when they release. There are two guys who post and seem to have insider knowledge but there views on engine seem to differ. As long as it handles, looks mean and has a V8 in im happy. Just hope I can still afford one when they do decide to release. :)

No prices at moment but ive read 55k is about the ball park figure. The dealer I use knows less than I do about the car.
the only info I have is what I have read and seen on the net especially in the link above.

I think we can be pretty certain that it will be a 4.2 V8 NA but with better breathing than the RS4 due to twin/triple throttles, and producing about 450bhp.

As Dave said I think it will be NA V8 as much as I so hope it will be turbo!!!!

Dealers will take deposits now! Starting at a grand! So if you have a spare £1000 just under the sofa get down to your nearest stealer and tell them to put it against the new RS5.

I thought about it but I'm feeling if I was to change to another RS then the new 6 saloon may well be the car for me!!! :)
Current car..... hmmmmm????

I've heard that to be the case, but it doesn't make sense. The R8 V8 has better breathing with dual throttle bodies and a better tuned exhaust header. It still makes the same HP as the RS4.
