Weird that paint on a car of such low mileage and relatively new (8 years) can get so bad. If it's corroding isn't there a case under the 10 or 12 yr Audi corrosion warranty?

Paint flaking is often caused by pressure washing.

I saw the said car for sale at Gilders Audi a couple of years ago and seem to remember it had noticably poorer paintwork than my car and lowish spec for £24,995. It didnt hang about though - it sold within a week or 2.

Sorry, let me clarify, this is not the original paintwork that's causing problems but non-factory paintwork repairs done to a poor standard (as most are). Silversea, you are correct but it's much harder to get original paint to flake with your typical pressure washer however non original paint is quite easy, especially at the panel edges.

Funny thing is my Denim Blue RS4 was SO much better and Dulwich Audi couldn't sell it for months even at £22k with 15k miles more at the same time this one was for sale.

He'll now take £13.5k which is a chuffing steal for someone who can put the paint right.
I'd tell my friend to buy it if it wasn't for the tailgate having rubbed the quarter which is a bit hard to explain and harder to put right properly.
