spoke to Chris at warranty direct this morning, he informed me they are still not doing a policy for the RS6 due to the drc failure with them, but will get back to me when there is a movement on a policy for them hopefully within a few days. I asked him why RS6 owners were sold policies last week? he replied ? "thats because they were quoted before WD withdrew the policy for the RS6 and so had to grant them" when he gets back to me with more info i`ll let people know.

So buy virtue of what the sale person said, does that mean if u dont have the <beep> DRC fitted they will still cover you?, as in if you have had coilovers fitted already.

£1500 to replace DRC, roughly the cost of 2 years warranty, so I think its worth the hassle of not battling a warranty company to replace.
As a newbie, from what I have read on this forum if you gearbox is properly mapped and looked after you should be fine?? Considering DRC and gearbox are the main issues

The buzz from chris is: If you are still living with DRC, which is annoying and expensive to fix then they are happy for you to transfer to coilovers when it breaks. And they'll happily pay for it cos its cheaper than drc replacement and is far less likely to break again. As for gearbox. Im unsure to be honest, but common sense suggests that if its covered by the warranty and they know of any mods you have had done (which they must have authorised, so phone them when you do anything) then they will pay out. ive seen a 7 grand bill for a new box (audi stealership) so its worth telling the warranty people if you have had it mapped. They will usually say ok to it. As far as engine mapping goes, they were ok with mine so shouldnt see any reason why it would affect anyone else. But this may be just limited to stage 1's / miltek as bigger power will mean lower tolerance to error. Best find out before you buy. Eddie

Chris from WD phoned me this morning and confirmed that they are not taking on any new policies for the RS6, so i asked him if they would cover them but exclude the DRC. He is going to get back to me on this

I spoke yo him yesterday too. He said that renewals are still going ahead as usual but new policies may well be back on the cards minus suspension cover. kinda defeats the purpose if its an area of concern with these cars.

It is cheaper as I pay around £475 which includes cats, steering etc etc. They have covered my car even with the MRC re-map, Hotchkis ARBs and MILLTEK.
