When using online comparison sites, Swiftcover always seems to come out the lowest, however.......
Upon reading many, many reviews of peoples experiences with them, it's clear to me that whilst cheap, they aren't very highly rated in the claims department (no pun intended). No only that, but quite a few things that are included as standard with other providers are not included with Swiftcover. When I went through the whole process getting the Swiftcover quote, there were loads of things they tried to add on at the end which bumped the price way up.
In the end, decided to stay with Admiral as I personally have found their customer service to be excellent and the price on my RS6+ was just over 700 (I'm 34, max. NCD, Herts.) That was with most things included. Not only that, but Admiral actually refunded me some money last year as an endorsement I had expired mid-term. Not sure how many companies would have done that..

Would recommend Adrian Flux whom specialize in modified or fast cars and gave me the best quote at around seven hundred with full no protected no claims and living in London. They beat my previous insurers by some margin. They also give a discount if you belong to an owners club rs246, or did, as it alters your risk profile I.e. less likely to trash the car.

top tip - add an elderly relative (father/mother) and the Mrs, that lowers it too.
Also, with Admiral and Elephant, what to do is 'retreive quote' and then go back into it. Don't change anything, then ask it to quote you again. Sometimes for some unknown reason it will give you a lower (or sometimes higher!) quote.
Final tip - do quotes on both Elephant and Admiral. They're the same company so you can usually play them off against each other when you phone up and say, "I was surprised to see your sister company quoted a lower figure, can you better it?" Repeat until bored/they lose interest.
