Selling the Beast!!!!!!!!!!

Post by 414BHP » Fri Feb 20, 2009 10:50 pm

Well after 2 1/2 years of proud ownership i am unfortunately going to have to sell my Black RS4 Saloon as my family is growing ever bigger (i need a new hobby).
Over this time ive found the RS246 forum a blast both helpful and funny so thanks for that.

If anyone is interested or knows anyone who is after an RS4 at a good price im putting the car up for sale this weekend, its a Black saloon registered July 06 and has 33000 miles clocked, it has bucket (proper) seats, adaptive lights, 6cd changer and Sat-nav (technology pack), auto dimming rear view mirror, tracker monitor, bluetooth parrot handsfree, origin speed camera detector, heated rear seats & auto opening boot.

I had 4 brand new Pirellis fitted two weeks ago and had the car serviced last weekend ready for the sale...and the cost.....

I would like £28,995.00 or as near as dammit. The car is in excellent condition and only needs the front drivers alloy refurbishing as it has a minor scuff (I'd love to say the wife did it but im guilty as charged).

Thanks Guys!!!

Hi,

There are now 2006 Audi Approved RS4 Cabriolets for £32,000. So, I think £29,000 is optimistic for a private sale saloon. Also, I wouldn't advertise the fact the you have a parrot, rather than OEM bluetooth.
Maybe do a bit of price research or just keep it - just KEEP IT. How many kids do you have? If you need an SUV, they are peanuts, absolutely peanuts at the moment. You could keep the RS4 and get a good SUV for 3K.

Regards, Chris.

Prices have really plunged these days. I think I paid around GBP37.7k for my 2006 RS4 last July here in Dubai, UAE, without sat-nav and bucket seats, just the symphony II+ and standard RS4 cabrio seats. If only they sold LHD RS4 cabrios in the UK, I'd be really keen to sell this one and snap a cabrio up!

I looked at a cheap R8 the other week, it was scumbag ... So it is possible to buy cheap crap ... did you actually look at the RS4 Cab ... did you notice it had been in a crash .. slight scuffs to all wheels and completely swirled .. also the odd parking dink ... yep there are plenty of cheap ones ...

My advise is buy on condition ..

I'll drink to that!!!

Im advertising the car at £28,995 but i realise that no one pays the asking price these days and im willin to let the car go for nearer £28k which isnt bad considering how much equivelant cars are up for sale on audi, auto trader and pistonhead websites.

So fingers crossed...i just hope she goes to a good home!!!!

Why do you NEED to sell it? At the moment you will get ripped off.

You can get the missus in the front and up to 3 kids in the back - and even in a saloon there's plenty of boot space for kids paraphenalia.

Keep it or get shafted? Simple, keep it!!!

My car is one of the last saloons made a 57 plate with 12k on the clock and high spec, looked at selling it and the very best offer I had was 33k I think you would do well to get 28 although as others have said prices are firming now and I don't know the condition of your car!

All the very best with it though. IMO do what I did! Keep it!!!!
