6 months and love every second of it :)

And a warning to everyone if you get the belt done get the water pump done at the same time - previous owner skimped on belt change (invoice for belt change mentions no pump replacement) and 10k miles later my car is in the garage having the pump replaced! So going to have the full belt kit + pump done for peace of mind as I intend to keep the beast on the road.

Hows the rebuild going? I have now been without mine for the past week and a bit and cant wait to get back in it.

The garage found the problem - turned out not to be the water pump after all. A small piece of plastic hose that channels the coolant broke between the oil cooler block and the engine. The bit of plastic costs about £3 but getting the cambelt + waterpump done along with gearbox oil and MOT -

Got the car back and drove all of 200 miles and the same problem came back. It judders in 3rd gear a low speed, so going back in next week to get the box pulled out again.. not happy after spending £1840...

Gutted for you :(

My car was brought to a halt by a £2.62 bit of pipe! the bit that sits between the oiler cooler and the engine block - it just sheared off on the engine side. While the guys were are at it had the cambelt done, all tensioners, rollers, waterpump as the previous guy had skimped on it and the timing was out by 1 tooth on the main belt. My bill was just shy of £1300 (missus thinks it was 500ish)

Not cheap running these things :o
