a4 sat nav . hi i have a 2004 a4 saloon with sat nav the part number of the original dvd is t1000 - 7711 and it says on the box audi navigation plus [ rns-e ] . i purchased a 2008 dvd from ebay and it is not working i was hoping that u might be able to tell me is the dvd wrong or is it damaged the number of the new one is t1000-12613 and it says audi navigation [mmi] on the box , and if it is wrong could u tell me what will the new disc fit . thanks.

thats the problem, MMI disks are not RNS-E disks.

The disk must say RNS-E on the box.

I just hate the way that Audi have made the RNS-E startup screen say MMI - paulocr_501 you join the ranks of literally hundreds (maybe even thousands) of Audi owners that have bought MMI disks for their RNS-E.

The total cost of incorrectly purchased DVDs must be in the hundreds of thousands of pounds now... Audi should be taken to task for this idiotic decision.
