06 - I have a light, one red LED mounted at the rear on the 'ceiling' of the lid. Pretty bright too and my dash lights arent turned up too much.

Does everyone also have the Red LED pointing down on to the gear stick (from up where the sun roof controls are), or do you only get that if you also have the arm rest light?

That red LED is standard with the interior lighting pack - which AFAIK was standard on all UK RS4 saloons and Avants at least.

There was a thread on TSN back in 2006 about how to fit the red LEDs into the rear roof light so that you get the same red glow on the centre of the rear seats. Did it on my RS4 the day after I got it home.

Spring 07 Saloon, with an illuminated armrest......that gets in the way when I'm driving. So it's always left in the vertical position!

the armrest has three positions, vertical,a middle setting which gets in the way,and when the handbrake is off it will
sit low on the actual handbrake this setting does not get in the way.

Trouble with the lowest position it that you can only use it on roads where you don't need to use the handbrake, which means mainly motorways - so I agree with RSLS that the armrest is mostly useless. I only use it on long motorway runs, and the rest of the time it stays in the upright position.
