No more Avants ..

Post by Condor24 » Tue Jan 27, 2009 6:07 pm

Just spoke to a very reliable source.

Audi UK have too many cancelled Avants in stock & have therefore stopped
production of the Avants.

Its very easy to get £10k off a new one without even trying. These, however, are pre-facelift cars and there are quite a few of them (it would appear) so the news is not surprising. Personally I would be interested in one but to my mind the right price is £60k for a new one not £79/80k knocked down to £69/70k. Once they are sub £50k for a six month old one I feel that they are worth a look.

Like said in the press and I agree it is the first RS saloon that looks better than the Avant. You can still get at least two big dead bodies in the boot of an RS6 saloon anyway.

I'm with you on that but to make me buy i would want to be buying one for that kind of money by summer this year. I'd love to know what the few owners who drive the new RS6 are getting for a trade bid right now ? my thinking would be low 40's at best....

Once, a tin of beans fell out of the carrier bag in the boot of my old A6 4.2Q and I literally had to climb in the boot to get it because I couldn't reach it!
