What I cannot fathom is why people are selling them so soon after purchase and taking a big hit on them

They are not ALL demonstrators

possibly because for £81k, how ever much you fettle with it, the new RS6 remains an utter point and squirt, bland disappointment. Well it did to me anyhow.

Apparently prices will be going down after 25th Jan.
If the dealers havent shifted their stock by then, they have been told by Audi UK to reduce prices.

Don't know how true this is by the way, but its only a week away :)

I disagree, but can understand how you might feel like that.

Having done a fair few thousand miles in mine, I genuinely believe mine is getting better and better. Whether it is me that is understanding how to drive the car better or whether it is just the car settling down, I don't know. All I do know is that I much prefer it to by old C5 and my old B7 RS4's.

I still think my old B5 RS4 is the best fast Audi that I have owned and I would buy another one tomorrow if they were still made!

24hr testdrive worked for me - bought an ex-demo as my 'everyday' car, don't really want to comment on price but it started with a 5...

Yes mate that was me! Did you have the black B5?

In my opinion, you can't beat a bit of turbo power! the problem with turbo'd RS's is that they are all auto - except the B5. I think the manual box with the turbo 'thrust' is seriously addictive. Even now, I think selling my B5 was the worst thing I ever did.

Still, the new RS6 is good.... but if only it had a manual box.

Ha, ha, I just like fast Audi's but because of the mileage that I do, I tend to change cars every six months or so. At the time, the B7 RS4 was the only RS Audi available.

BTW, I tend to sell them with between 30 - 40k miles on them
