I believe the cambelt should be changed every 40k on the B5 but is there a recommended time specified by Audi as mine has done 48k but belt was changed nearly 4 years ago at 29k(so would be due at 69k).
What im trying to say is do i need to get the job done now or wait until 69k to get it changed?
Many thanks in advance.

Alot of people forget the timescale, and concentrate on the mileage, which shouldn't be the case.
As said from memory, the inetrval is 40k OR 5years whichever comes first
Best to be safe than sorry!
