Fitting cd changer to a4 with rns-e - what leads???

Post by mrdeli » Fri Jan 02, 2009 10:58 pm

Hi

I have a 57 reg a4 cab with rns-e. It has no cd changer currently.

I have a genuine 6cd changer and want to connect it up. Will the car have the required lead already in place or will i need to buy a lead to connect it up. If so can you point me in the right direction?

Im guessing it should be fairly straightforward to connect - is it just plug and play?

Many thanks, mark

As ever thanks Craig -

I have ordered the lead as recommended.

Can you tell me whether I will need to recode the RNS-e to tell it i have the CD changer - or will pluging it in be enough for it to recognise it???

The RNSE is from a 57 reg running i think the latest software.

cheers mark

Normally the CD changer just works without any recoding.
