no water to rear wiper

Post by chewy » Fri Dec 19, 2008 5:05 pm

I've noticed that i have no water going to the rear wipers. I can hear the motor going and see water in the passenger footwell by the wheel arch. Anyone experienced this and know the best way to tackle?

thought you had fallen off the radar chewy. the water line will run through the inside of the car so sounds like its split somewhere. you still got that revo remap?

My S3 has done this a few times, and as suggested by jimbo, the feed to the rear is in a few sections and has probably came apart. My has came apart in the engine and boot :(

Happened on my S4. Two hard plastic pipes are joined by a rubber section. It had come apart. Its quite high up.

Might help identify it if you have someone wiggling the pipe in the engine compartment.

Passenger footwell for me too.

Although admitedly mine happened having left the car parked in Val D'Isere for a week at -30 without sufficient antifreeze in the washer fluid.

Not an error I'll make again.

Just had this happen to me on the way to work, any tips on how to fix? Is it a simple case of removing the trim at the left hand side of the foot well?

Okay so I've fixed the problem. If anybody can recommend a good picture hosting site I'll post some picks and write a short description.
