After being given the run around by an indy in my neck of the woods i have spoken to MRC today, the car is now booked in on the 18th of this month for the work to be done. EGT sensors are on back order from Audi UK at the moment, yet like all professionals should MRC have them on the shelf
Freindly proffessional and to the point over the phone, i am looking forward to getting the car back to normal.
BTW Jimbo, they agreed regarding the MAF sensor knocking the EGT's out, that will be replaced too. Thanks for all the help guys, will keep you posted....

when your egt goes , the ecu puts the car into "limp"mode which basically switches off the n75 valve so the car just runs 7psi of boost instead of 15 or whatever the car has been remapped to. the n75 valve is located just infront of the maf under the small left hand carbon engine cover, it has 3 rubber hoses connected in a t orientation and an electrical connection.

egt2 is the passenger side.

Well the car went to MRC on Thursday, i got the train back to Brum after being dropped off at the station. Likewise i was collected on the return by Doug.
They went over the car and did what was needed, 2 x EGT's, Thermostat and temp sender, new cambelt as the old one had to come off for the T'stat, new MAF sensor and a pair of 710N diverters. The car didnt need a lambda sensor after all
I drove the car home the scenic route and fought the ESP all the way back, the car is now effortless to drive, so responsive and pretty nippy to say the least!
I just wanted to say thanks for everyones advice and a huge thanks to everyone at MRC, your customer service rivals the best i have ever seen. The Ronseal of garages, hats off
Have a great Christmas all, i will be avoiding the booze and heading for my car keys while the roads are empty
