I have been to see Ben today, very knowledgeable and so helpful, I owe you a beer fella (not that you need any just yet with your hallway ;) )
It looks as though i need to replace 2 x EGT sensors and a lambda. There were numerous faults logged, all cleared but the 3 that returned were above.

I will let you know how i get on this week :)

no problem, any time. May be wise to get the coolant sensor done at the same time, there is a code flagged which could relate to thermostat or sender, but for what it costs do the sensor first

Well done guys!

Kinell Ben you've dropped the price of yours down! You're bringing the prices down mate but I suppose if you NEED the sale and you can afford the drop then it's a no brainer.

Someone snap is feckin hand off quickly and let's hope these cars appreciate next year!

its juts a sign of the times contigo -those in for the long haul will see an appreciation in prices again - however the question is when.

bneaves car looks very good and worth serious consideration from a prospective buyer

No a fat lot else i can do, the price of the car i want to buy has just been dropped by £2000 and thats a main dealer. I think number of sales will improve over time, but i cant see prices getting any better. If you look at all Nick J's cars, he's knocked a good few grand off his stock and the prices are getting close to mine, and i certainly cant offer a warrenty etc etc etc. One phone call in 3months says a lot!

Will do Ben, the temp gauge was all over the place on the way home :(

Having been out in bneaves car, it is one fine example, and so silky smooth.

Thanks again for your help, much appreciated :)

Yes he's knocked a couple off but prices on the low milers remain high on his site so not all bad and he's trying to keep the prices high, well thats what he said when I spoke to him.

It's not the price though it's the market at the moment, cars just ain't selling and dropping them might help a little but you could drop like you have and still not get any interest.

I'm keeping mine for the long time as there ain't else out there that can replace it in my opinion.

theyve gone because your maf is dead, making the car run lean and running higher egt temps, i had exactly the same problem 2 days after buying mine. dont forget to change the dvs for 710n,s only £20 each. if your still on the original ones the diaphrams will be split. 8)

Yeah well said Jimbo, for both EGT's to go there must be a common issue upstream unless the previous keeper just didn't give a stuff and just kept driving. Had issues with the MAF on most of the Audi's I've owned and the bottom line is- change it if its more than 3 years old- the performance drop off is too subtle to notice til it goes completely with the attendant issues downstream, never mind running as flat as a witches tit....... :D
