I think that is a perfect excuse for another visit to a dealership for a 'test'!

Hi! I'm 6'1" and I find the easiest and best position seems to be to drop the bucket seats all the way down, tilt the backrest to a reasonable position and start pushing the seats back until you find the most comfortable driving position. Initial feel was that it was not as good as the GTI MKV, but after a while, it really works and you'd love it!

On lower bolster, if I'm not wrong on the the section you're referring to, the 1st toggle switch (up/down) on the side of the seat can be used to deflate the bolster to create a less snug fit at that section. Make sure to leave some spare room as when it goes into Sports mode, it will tighten up effectively squishing the ermm......posterior?

Agree with Primus - i'm 6'2" and have no problems fitting in the car - in fact i have to bring the seat forward a bit but the seat lowering handling is both a winner and essential!

I wonder then if the buckets have a greater range of adjustment than the sports seats (which are the only ones ive tried). I think I need to take a closer look!

Well, I did it!

Phantom Black RS4 Avant, Apr 2007, 11k, Sports seats. Part ex'd the ST220. Will be sad to see that go (for about 5 minutes!)

Pick it up tomorrow!

Here we go! Nothing too out of the ordinary (on here anyway)

Its a pretty good example! Alloys unmarked and just a few tiny marks on the front. Im damn pleased overall!

Probably going to get Bluetooth handsfree retrofitted soon just to finish it off with all the items I want.

Ha Ha. I never came across a Daytona grey avant in my searches. Phantom Black and Daytona Grey were top of my list! This is the one that ticked all the boxes (well nearly all) and wasnt at the other end of the country.

She has standard brakes. Im not sure if I wouldve wanted one with ceramics, cost of new discs are pretty eye watering I believe! Although dont they last much longer?

Ive just taken her for my first spin in the dark and discovered the amazement of adapative headlights! That wasnt listed on the options sheet when I bought her. Im very pleased

Ceramics last a hell of a lot longer, steel discs are lasting anything between 7K and 28k miles dependt on who you talk to. I am now on to my thirs set in 38K miles including the set it came from, but it is part of the joy of haviong an RS I suppose!

Enjoy it, they are great cars.
