Not if you want it to alarm at the same difference from your new "normal" pressures.

See here http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/Aud ... Monitoring
Hmm, may have to find someone with VAG-Com then.

My sentiments exactly, every time I see a black RS looking well makes me wish I'd looked arder for a good black one.
Anyway thanks for the pics Ozrs.

Hi all'
Just had a quote for 4 X GY 275/30 ZR19 £685 from Kwick Fit, didn't think this was bad!
Got PS2's at present ,done a shade over 10.000 miles on them.Don't fancy paying £1000 plus to replace them.
The Goodyears seem great value as long they last about the same.(Will have to tell the wife to slow down a bit ,it's her daily driver.)

£685 is within pounds of the best deal in the country, the only downside is quick-fit will be doing the fitting.....

.

Couldn't agree more, just made me more determined to give mine a 'proper' detail in the near future - its a pain in the arse to keep clean but boy is it worth it!

Ozrs4 - did you do the work yourself or get someone in? What did you/they use?

I had one professional detailing done in Jan this year since delivery in May 2007. As a routine, I wash the car weekly or after a drive in the rain then wipe down with Mothers FX spray wax. Every few months, I would apply Zymol Carbon wax. Nothing too fancy really, it's just the black that shines if kept spotless.

I've had no problem with the wider tyres so far and it certainly feel nice on the road. On the track, it was a bit strange, probably too much grip or my pressure was too high, the car was skipping/vibrating over the surface around corner rather than sliding/squealing.

I guess any company is only as good as your particular fitter on the day but personally I wouldn't use any of them for the RS, especially as the 275's are harder to put on compared to 255's, and even harder to take off...

Hi Ozr, it seems strang that you and I have only picked up on the strangeness of the extra grip at a high speed, as I did raise my concerns with users of the wider tyres....my conclusion was that either they were not pushing the car to its limits, or something was wrong with my tyres....But I have been experiencing the same problem as u, with the skipping and vibrating at a tight bend, hence have decided to go back to the Pzeros 255's.

KF are absolutely DREADFUL.

My last experience with them when i had to use them as company policy:

BMW 540i with 225/45 on front 8J rims, 245/40 on rear 9J.

Arrived to pick car up: had the WIDE tyres on the NARROW rims on the back, the NARROW tyres on the WIDE rims on the back.

Hadn't even spotted it.

Clueless to the point of brainless.

OOps. meant NARROW on WIDE rims on FRONT.

So, nearly as clueless as me then...
