Breakdown Cover - Person versus Vehicle?

Post by SR71 » Wed Oct 29, 2008 8:19 pm

Anyone got any recommendations on the best cover around?

Green Flag want £199 for "Person" cover for the year.

Sound about right?

Try Tesco ... we're paying a lot less than £199.

What sort of cover?

I'm with RAC, roadside and recovery for any vehicle I'm either driving or a passenger in for about 60 quid.

I presume your car is out of warranty as I thought you get Audi Assistance (rebranded RAC) as standard till then?

Yep, Audi Assistance comes for the first 3 years, if you are looking for something for the A3 then i'm sure I only pay about £12 p/m for the top level AA cover though that is slightly discounted.

I have AA cover for me and it's been great. I've never needed it for the RS4, but I used it on my wife's Jeep and when I was passenger in an old BMW.

You presume wrong but I had assumed Audi Assist didn't include European Cover. Just read the T&C's and it looks like it'll do.

Thanks.

However, as pippyrips mentions, I still need a policy that'll cover me for driving the A3, also with European Cover, although maybe the other half should get that and we should just say she was driving if anything was to happen....

AA have more vehicles on the road than any other breakdown service, Greenflag the least.
Engineer told me worst car for breakdowns and not just older models is Renault.
Mint Optic Pack saloon in Daytona Grey (Now sold)
